Leisure Facilities

Sport and Leisure manages various types of leisure facilities which are available for use by the general public. These facilities, which are situated throughout the isles include: sports pitches, games halls, play areas, multicourts, footpaths and a nine hole golf course.

Booking a Sport and Leisure Games Hall

Shetland Islands Council take bookings for the following Games Halls: Gilbertson Park Games Hall, Sandwick School Games Hall and Scalloway School Games Hall.

Ways to book

Applications can be collected and returned to:
Sport and Leisure, Hayfield House Reception , Hayfield Lane, Lerwick ZE1 0QD
Applications and questions can also be emailed to the Sport and Leisure department by clicking here.

Block Bookings

Applications are now being invited for the 2012 spring/ summer period.
No booking will be allocated to an organisation with an outstanding payment due.
Priority will be given to organisations who book the entire winter period i.e. September to April
