Jubilee Flower Park & Bowling Green
The Jubilee Flower Park on King Harald Street in Lerwick is one of the most scenic and visited spots in the town, particularly during the summer months. Garden staff from the Council's Sport & Leisure Service work throughout the year to provide a colourful display of flowers and shrubs for locals and visitors to enjoy.
The walled perimeter of the Flower Park provides a peaceful town centre sanctuary with park benches and footpaths for people all ages to relax and enjoy the stunning array of colours when the flowers are in bloom.
The Park is open for public access each day from 7.30am to 8pm during the summer months, from April to September. Reduced opening hours are in place during the winter months, from 7.30am to 4pm on weekdays (3.30pm on Fridays). Public toilets are also available in the Pavilion of the Flower Park at these times.
The Park Pavilion was entirely rebuilt in 2003 and is now the focal point of the park, containing:
- Kiosk
- Viewing area and kitchen - suitable for small meetings and functions
- Changing area and lockers for bowling green
- Public toilets, including disabled
- Staff areas
The outdoor bowling green, putting green and tennis court in the Park are all available for members of the public to use. Payment for use of these facilities must be made at the Pavilion kiosk, where a member of the Parks staff will be available between the following hours:

Payment for use of facilities to be made at time of hire at Pavilion kiosk. Prior bookings may also be made for use of facilities, through the Parks staff. Chilled drinks are are also available for purchase at the kiosk during the summer months.
