Can Taxi or Private Hire Cars Collect Disabled Passengers from Restricted Locations?
Yes, provided the passenger has a valid Blue Badge.
When booking a taxi or private hire car journey, the passenger must tell the operator that they are a Blue Badge holder and quote their Full Name, Blue Badge number and Expiry Date. This will allow the taxi or private hire car driver to collect the passenger from locations with parking or use restrictions.
Should a taxi or private hire car be stopped by the Police prior to the passenger entering the vehicle, these details will be requested to validate your presence in a restricted location.
