Rural Seaside Awards are given to effectively managed beaches that meet 15 criteria including cleanliness and water quality. The awards are run by Keep Scotland Beautiful and the successful applications were made possible through a partnership between the Environment and Resource Management Unit staff and the local Community Councils.
