Community Council Skips
The Council provides facilities for householders in country areas to dispose of their bulky items of refuse by arranging for skips to be placed in these areas in co-operation with the Community Councils. Each Community Council is allocated a number of skips for it to use each year, the quantity being generally based on the number of households in its area. The Community Council then has the authority to decide how to maximise the use of its allocation, for example by controlling where the skips are sited and how many are provided at each site during the year.
