Lerwick - Youth Development

Within the Youth Service there are nine Youth Development Areas, which encompass various youth clubs, groups and activities that cater to the needs of young people in that area.

  • Runs First Gear and On Two Wheels driving projects annually
  • Organises residential weekends for members to participate in outdoor activities and camping
  • overnight excursion onboard the training sailing ship The Swan with team-building exercises
  • Encourages members to participate in the Dynamic Youth and Youth Achievement Awards
  • Various projects run through the year according to the member's needs
