  • Assessment of young people’s needs.

Who is eligible to join Bridges?

  • Without educational qualifications, low basic attainment, school refusers and those excluded from school.
  • Young person with low self-esteem, lacking confidence and in need of some motivation

Bridges Programme

Taking part in the Bridges programme will enable participants to explore and develop a variety of social skills.  The young people will be encouraged to develop skills and strategies that will help them become more effective in working with others.  The young people will be given the opportunity to reflect on their behaviours and interactions with others.  The lessons learnt will then be used in planning the next challenge.

Using a range activities and settings we will work closely with the young person to support them in identifying their learning and social needs.  An individual plan will be designed with the young person and other agencies, where appropriate to meet the needs of the young person.

This plan will have clear time scales; it will have clear outcomes, which will be measurable.  These plans will be designed in a solution-focussed way, which will enable practitioners working with the young person to evaluate progress as well as enable the young person to recognise change.
