We are committed to providing a safe environment for families, visitors, memorial stonemasons, contractors and staff within our burial grounds.
Routine inspections of memorials including stability checks are being carried out. We have a list of memorial inspections frequently asked questions, please contact Burial Services if you would like any further help or assistance.
We understand this may be upsetting for you, and are sorry for any distress this may cause. If your memorial has not passed the safety inspection it will have a green safety notice placed beside it, you will then need to contact a council approved memorial stonemason who will guide you through the memorial permit application form.
