The Proposed Shetland Local Development Plan (SLDP) was approved as the Council's Settled View on the 10th of October 2012. Representations for the SLDP are now being sought from the 19th of October to the extended deadline of 13th of December 2012 5pm.

Shetland Local Development Plan
The preparation of the new Shetland Local Development Plan will assist with the delivery of sustainable economic growth and the preservation of the natural and built environment of Shetland including its rich cultural and landscape heritage and ways of life, whilst making sure we can continue to provide 21st century communications and infrastructure to communities that are growing and changing.
Call for Proposed Development Sites
All of the sites have now been assessed and a report has been put to the Development Committee on the 9th March 2012, please see agenda here.
