About the service
The Council offers a collection for unwanted bulky items.
We will collect up to 6 items for £42. If you need more than 6 items collected there will be an additional charge of £42 for an additional 6 items (ie for 1 to 6 items the charge would be £42, for 7 to 12 items the charge would be £84.
We do offer a concession of £21 for 6 items if you are on any of the following means tested benefits:Staff will complete a benefit check
- Housing Benefit
- Income Based Job Seekers Allowance
- Income Related Employment and Support Allowance
- Income Support
- Pension Credit (guarantee element)
- Universal Credit
When we come to collect your items, they must be outside at your normal collection point, by 7.30am on your collection day - we collect on Thursdays as per the collection schedule and items not at the collection point or on the list will not be collected.
Only three large electrical apliances can be collected per property
Please note: our staff cannot remove items from inside your property.
