This is to give notice that a renewal ballot is to be held on the proposal of Living Lerwick to renew the arrangements for the business improvement district (BID) for Lerwick Town Centre.
The ballot will be conducted entirely by post by the Returning Officer, Shetland Islands Council, 8 North Ness, Lerwick, Shetland, ZE1 0LZ. Ballot papers will be sent to those eligible to vote by no later than Thursday 9 July 2026 for return by no later than 5 p.m. on Thursday 20 August 2026 (the “day of the ballot”).
Who can vote in the BID Ballot?
Persons eligible to vote in the ballot will be those who, as at 5pm on Wednesday 8 July 2026, are non-domestic ratepayers within the geographical area of the proposed BID.
