The Shetland Climate Festival returns on Saturday 5th September at the Clickimin Bowls Hall in Lerwick from 10am to 4pm.
This year is the fourth year of the festival with more than 30 exhibitors across four key areas.
These are:
- What is Climate Change from a Shetland Perspective?
- What can I do in my community to help?
- What can I do at home?
- What business and employment opportunities are available?
The festival celebrates the work in Shetland to mitigate our emissions and adapt to our changing climate. About 400 people attended in 2025. As well as exhibitors there will be range of talks and workshops on the day, plus children’s activities, a repair café and cookery demonstrations. There will also be a chance to speak to Council staff about our work relating to climate change, energy use and biodiversity.
