Shetland Library's Summer Reading challenge for Teens and Adults
Once again, the Shetland Library Summer Reading Spree is open to adults and teenagers who are library members.
With 2026 being the National Year of Reading, we are giving you two challenges. This year we are asking you to read four books during the summer. These can be absolutely any book, from a Quick Read or short story to the weightiest of tomes! If you need inspiration, we have created a card full of suggestions and we will have displays in the library to select from. Fill in the details of your four books and we will enter you into a prize for a goodie bag. The closing date is 31st August.
This year we have added a Bingo Card as an extra challenge, which complements the Summer Reading Challenge for our younger members. See how many boxes you can tick off yourself during your summer reading.
