Restrictions on travel across Scotland will be eased from next Monday (26th) as the whole of Scotland moves into Covid Protection Level Three.
Shetland and other Scottish islands, including Orkney and the Western Isles, will remain at Level Three and non-essential travel will be permitted anywhere in Scotland. Locally, this means that travel restrictions on public bus services and inter-island ferries will also be relaxed and non-essential travel within the isles will be permitted.
Passengers are reminded to continue to wear face protection in enclosed spaces on board ferries and on buses, to socially distance, and to use hand sanitiser where available.
It is expected that all of Scotland will move down to Level 2 on 17 May. Details of Covid Protection Levels in Scotland and the changes that are expected to take place on different dates are available on the Scottish Government website
