Businesses urged to make views known about covid support and future prospects

Business open as new normal

Shetland Islands Council has launched a consultation seeking views on financial support from Government during the pandemic and on future business prospects for island businesses.

Businesses across all sectors are asked to make their views known, with responses collated and reported to the Council’s Development Committee. The short online survey takes around five minutes to complete and is now live on the Council's website

Alastair Cooper, Chair of Development Committee, said: “After an unprecedented year, and as restrictions hopefully continue to ease, this survey will help us better assess the impact of this pandemic on the Shetland economy.  It’s important that we understand how businesses feel about their future prospects and I’d urge them to share their thoughts with us.”

The survey is now open for responses, until Monday 21st June 2021.  Paper copies of the questionnaire are also available and anyone needing assistance to complete the survey can contact the Economic Development Service on 01595 744940 or by email
