You can now sign up to receive your Council Tax bill by email. E-billing provides a faster, more efficient and convenient way to receive and check your bills.
If you’d like to receive your bill by email, instead of a paper bill, please contact local.taxation@shetland.gov.uk with your name and council tax account number.
By default, this will change the billing method for everyone on that account, so you must gain the agreement of any other liable parties before getting in touch. It is possible for each liable party to have different billing methods - if that’s required, please contact the local taxation office by phone – on 01595 744683 - to discuss. If you prefer to continue to receive a paper bill, you should take no action.
