Due to an electrical fault, the ferry MV Linga is currently out of service on the Whalsay route.
Bookings are currently suspended and MV Fivla will operate this evening as below:
- 1700 Symbister
- 1730 Laxo
- 1800 Symbister
- 1830 Laxo
From 1900hrs tonight, the service will operate to the normal timeable with a single vessel, using MV Fivla
Due to reduced vehicle capacity on the ferry, public transport is being provided in Whalsay to meet each of these ferries arriving in Symbister, for any passengers unable to get their cars on the ferry.
From tomorrow morning (Thu 27th) it is hoped that the MV Fivla and MV Filla will to operate to a normal timetable. Latest updates can be found on the Whalsay Voicebank - 01595 743973
