Operational Note – Whalsay Ferry Service

MV Linga at vidlin

MV Linga will depart for drydock on Wednesday 2nd February 2022.

On Wednesday 2nd February, the last timetabled run for MV Linga will be 0915 departing Symbister.  From 0935 Whalsay will operate to a single vessel service for the rest of the day. 

The Symbister bus transport will be in operation Monday to Friday as per timetable below. This will be in operation from Wednesday 2nd February to Monday 14th February excluding weekends.

Please note that these bus runs will be delivered as long as there is not a requirement for the gritter.  If there is, the gritting must take priority  If it is frosty there will be an update posted on the public Bus Services Voicebank as early as possible.  The telephone number for the Bus Services Voicebank is 01595 745744

From Thursday 3rd February 2022 the Whalsay service will be covered by MV Geira and MV Fivla.
