Applications for new National Entitlement Cards can now be processed. Card production, which ceased in early April due to the Coronavirus pandemic, has now resumed across Scotland.
From today (Wed), Shetland Islands Council will accept and process applications for new cards. Applicants will be asked to provide documents to support their application.
The NEC card allows citizens to access free bus travel and free or discounted ferry travel within Shetland.
New applicants are asked to contact Transport Planning Staff on 01595 744868 for information and advice. For the Young Scot NEC card contact Youth & Employability Staff on 01595 744490. The Transport Office at 8 North Ness remains closed to the public.
