From next week, collection days will change for household waste and recycling in parts of the South Mainland and Tingwall.
The changes have been made to accommodate increased collection loads and changes to staffing arrangements.
From Monday 7th November –
- In Quarff, collections will now be made on Mondays, instead of Wednesdays.
- In Fladdabister, collections will now be made on Mondays, instead of Fridays.
- In Gulberwick, collections will now be made on Tuesdays, instead of Wednesdays.
- In Cunningsburgh, collections will now be made on Wednesdays, instead of Fridays.
- And in Tingwall, collections will now be made on Fridays, instead of Thursdays - although collections in Veensgarth will remain on Thursdays.
These changes will remain in place for the foreseeable future. Householders are asked to present bins as usual on the new collection day by 7.30am.
