With snowy road conditions in many parts of Shetland, today’s refuse and recycling collections in Unst and Northmavine will be cancelled.
Staff will attempt to collect on other routes in Lerwick and South Mainland. Some collections from properties on side roads may not be possible, where there is no safe access for the essy kert.
With a continued forecast of wintry weather for the rest of this week, other collections may be disrupted where road conditions make it difficult to collect waste safely. Staff will collect from missed properties as soon as weather conditions allow.
Shetland Islands Council would like to apologise to householders for any inconvenience.
