Essential works on Lerwick and Bressay ferry terminals planned for next week have now been postponed, due to weather conditions causing delays on current works at Gutcher and Belmont ferry terminals.
Works were due to take place on the Lerwick and Bressay ferry terminals overnight Tuesday 14th and Wednesday 15th March, leading to cancellations of late night ferry runs. These works will now be postponed to a future date and the Bressay ferry will now operate to the published timetable.
The works need favourable tides and are also weather dependent. A decision will be made next week when the rescheduled works can hopefully take place and more details will follow. Shetland Islands Council would like to apologise to anyone affected by this postponement.
