A third Living Well Hub is opening in Shetland soon – in Speldiburn, at the old Bressay School.

The Hubs offer an information drop-in service for anyone wanting to find out more about local health and social care support, including information on community groups and voluntary organisations, as well as services provided by the Council or NHS Shetland.

Ruth MacMillan, Executive Manager, Adult Social Work says:  “I’m happy that the roll-out of Community Led Support in Shetland is continuing with a further Living Well Hub for Bressay.  The two hubs at Brae and Scalloway have proved to be very successful.  It’s a useful way for folk to access a wide range of services and support, and we’re hoping that the facility at Speldiburn will be equally popular.”

There are already two Hubs – at the Brae and Scalloway Youth and Community Centres – and the third in Bressay will be open every Wednesday from 28th June, between 2-4pm.
