There are updates to some inter-island ferry services, after the earlier announcement of expected disruption due to crew shortages.
On Yell Sound, ferry services will run to the normal timetable this week. However until Saturday 14th October, there will be no late bookings and the last run will be the 2200hrs from Toft to Ulsta.
Unfortunately due to crew sickness, there will be a single vessel service on Bluemull Sound. This will run to the Saturday timetable on Tuesday 10th, Wednesday 11th and Thursday 12th October 2023. All bookings will be suspended and there will be no bookings for the 2305hrs sailing from Belmont to Hamarsness, or the subsequent 2335hrs sailing from Hamarsness to Gutcher.
Shetland Islands Council would like to apologise for any inconvenience to passengers.
