In yesterday’s high winds, MV Dagalien incurred storm damage which will require repair and inspection, meaning that Yell Sound ferry services will operate with a single vessel on Monday and Tuesday.
*** Update: 0715hrs, Mon 17th October - MV Dagalien has returned to service. Ferry operations on Yell Sound are now running to the normal timetable ***
Repairs are currently underway but these will have to be certified by an inspector, who it is hoped will arrive in Shetland tomorrow or Tuesday. Ferry services on Yell Sound will therefore operate with a single vessel on Monday (16th) and Tuesday (17th), running to the shift vessel timetable. All bookings will be suspended and ferry crew will endeavour to put in extra runs wherever possible.
