Ferry services on Bluemull Sound will operate to an almost normal shift on Sunday 7th July, after a member of Ferries staff has made themselves available.
It was recently announced that there would be no services on Bluemull Sound between 0610hrs and 1740hrs that day.
However, the first sailing on Sunday 7th July will now be the 0930hrs departure from Gutcher, with sailings between Yell, Unst and Fetlar operating to normal timetable thereafter.
Staff in the Ferries Booking Office are contacting anyone who had their booking cancelled, to reinstate bookings where possible. Bookings which have not yet been cancelled remain valid, but passengers are advised to contact the booking office on 01595 745804 to check the status of their booking.
Shetland Islands Council would like to assure all passengers that every effort was made to avoid this disruption, and apologises for any inconvenience.
