Traffic lights will be installed on the A968 in the South of Yell where a double width cattle grid is in need of repair, meaning that road will be reduced to a single lane of traffic.
The cattle grid is on the main road just over one mile north of Ulsta and has recently been damaged. The normally two-lane road width will be reduced at the cattle grid and traffic lights installed until repairs can be carried out.
Drivers on this section of road making their way to and from Ulsta Ferry Terminal should be aware of short delays at the traffic lights. Repairs are expected to be complete in the next seven days.
