Due to low cloud and misty conditions across Shetland today, the planned projections of the Second World War Roll of Honour images on Lerwick Town Hall won’t take place tonight.
The combination of reduced visibility, darkness and the type of projection lighting that was intended to be used means that it's not possible to see the images clearly on the Town Hall wall. A decision has been taken to cancel tonight’s projections (Friday) with the hope that the visibility improves for tomorrow evening instead.
The Service of Remembrance will take place on Sunday morning at 11am, and Lerwick Town Hall will be lit red on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday evenings, in support of this year’s Poppy Appeal.
