Councillor Andrea Manson has asked us to confirm today that she has resigned her position as Convener with immediate effect.
This will allow the Council to prepare a report for the appointment of her successor, which will be the first item of business transacted at a meeting of the full Council on 25th March, 2026. We will be making no further comment on this matter.
Cllr Manson has asked us to confirm that she is currently travelling back to Shetland and will be difficult to contact in the short term.
