The Scottish Government has announced the opening of the Coronavirus Business Hardship Fund, to support businesses and employers through potential disruption and restricted trading.
The Fund is open to applications from 20th October to 3rd November, and will offer grants of either £1,000 or £1,500 to businesses in one of the following two categories:
- Hospitality businesses and gyms required by the Covid-19 brake regulations to operate in a restricted way (retailers and businesses that provide takeaway food as the core of their business are ineligible for this fund)
- Producers/wholesale businesses supplying primarily perishable supplies to hospitality businesses required by the brake regulations to close or operate in a restricted way, and who are able to evidence a 25% reduction in turnover during the brake period
