Space Port Centre Launch Event
This Order may be cited as the “Shetland Islands Council (Shetland Space Centre) (Launch Event Traffic Management) Temporary Traffic Order T20/2026”. This Order shall operate from Monday 10 August 2026 to Sunday 20 September August 2026 for launch events, which shall be on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays only. Please Click Here

Cold tar patching is being undertaken Lerwick and Scalloway and surrounding areas. Mobile works.
Surface Dressing
Our Surface Dressing programme is now under summer recess. Works are complete in the South Mainland, Lerwick, Bressay, Central and West Mainland. Cold tar patching Whalsay
General cold tar patching works have been delayed due to lack of resources but will commence on Monday 10th August with works expected to take 2 weeks to complete. Short delays can be expected. Any queries regarding these works please contact John Duncan (744105)
A968 Ises Road to Dales Lees 7.5T Weight Restriction
A weight restriction of 7.5T is in place until 5pm on Friday 25 September to facilitate the laying of a 33kv cable.
