Scatsta Airport Road

Sellafirth, Yell

Verging works to on Wednesday 14 April and are expected to take 2 weeks to complete. Traffic lights in operation so short delays are to be expected. Any queries regarding these works please contact John Duncan

Veensgarth, Tingwall

Works to reset a sunken gully grating started on Tuesday 20th April and are expected to take 3 days to complete. Priority boards will be in use to direct traffic around the work area. Short delays can be expected. Any queries regarding these works please contact Grant Anderson (744171)

At the moment we are not currently undertaking any substantial works. Due to the increase in Covid cases, we are working in small Gritting bubbles comprising of the driver and second man. Other works include general maintenance works and will be filling grit bins and replacing salt piles.
We will still carry out emergency works where and when required if safe to do so
.

A971 Walls to Bridge of Walls Road

From 8am tomorrow morning (Wednesday 21 April) due to a collapsed drain, the A971 Walls to Bridge of Walls Road will be closed for two days, commencing at a point approximately 200 metres north east from its junction with the Pinehoulland Road and proceeding in a north easterly direction for a distance of 25m or thereby, there is an alternative route exists via Brunatwatt.
