Inclusion and Engagement Support (IES) Service
Note: This combined service was previously operating as two services: the Additional Support Base (SEBN) and Home Link (Attendance)
The Inclusion and Engagement Support (IES) Service is part of the Education Outreach Services and works to promote inclusion and improve outcomes for children and young people across Shetland.
The Inclusion and Engagement Support (IES) Service provides support for pupils (age 5-19) who are experiencing challenges accessing their education successfully due to issues around attendance and/or social and emotional and behavioural needs. The IES Service is an outreach service – pupils can be supported at school, in the community, in their home, or in the Base setting (secondary only) if appropriate.

- To support pupils to positively engage and be included in education, in whatever way is most appropriate for them. The service always aims to support wherever possible the pupil to attend in their local school.

- Low Level Direct Intervention (partner to the plan)
- High Level Direct Intervention (key role in the plan)
