Future Housing Event

Pre-registration for the event is now closed however participants can still drop in on the day.
Representatives of the local construction industry are invited to a Future Housing event to hear about the substantial programme of housing related work by the Council and Hjaltland Housing Association (HHA) scheduled over the next 5-10 years. The Council and HHA are keen to engage with the local industry to fully inform and explore business opportunities to deliver the programme of work.
The event aims to:
- Inform the Shetland construction industry of the Council and Hjaltland Housing Association’s programme of affordable housing provision in the short, medium and longer terms;
- Foster collaboration and engagement between the public sector and Shetland’s construction industry to deliver the programme;
- Encourage businesses operating in the sector to actively participate and connect opportunities; and
- Assist businesses seeking to expand / diversify to assist in delivering the programme
Dennis Leask, Chair of Development Committee, Shetland Islands Council, said -
