The Shetland Directory

Information on the Shetland Community Directory

The Shetland Community Directory is an online resource for everyone and anyone.

It’s there to help you quickly find out what’s available in your area.  It brings together information about Shetland’s community groups and organisations, as well as local services that contribute to making Shetland the vibrant place it is.

Listings include youth groups, sports groups, community development organisations, Community Councils and halls, alongside services from the Third Sector, Council, NHS and others.

The Directory uses ALISS (A Local Information System for Scotland) to gather and share the information. Resources that you find on the directory are added and edited through ALISS by people within our communities.

If your service or group is not listed, please see our step by step instructions here: Instructions for adding to ALISS (shetland.gov.uk) (2.44 MB).

If you are experiencing issues with your listing on ALISS, please email: hello@aliss.org

If you have any question about the directory, please email: shetlandcommunitydirectory@shetland.gov.uk

The Directory was commissioned by Shetland Islands Council, in partnership with NHS Shetland and Voluntary Action Shetland. It is a dedicated information database for Shetland.
