IJB Performance and Outcomes

IJB Self Assessment

In November 2023, members of the Integration Joint Board (IJB) were asked to complete a self-assessment questionnaire and skills audit to help review performance, inform the induction process and understand development needs. The self-assessment questionnaire noted that the IJB worked well together and meetings are well managed. The skills audit revealed a need for more targeted skills development. IJB seminars were seen to be informative and helpful.

The IJB Self Assessment key points considered for action include:

  • Considering an annual self-evaluation of the IJB Audit Committee's work
  • Ensure good level of community engagement and equality impact assessments are undertaken
  • Consider a feedback option after IJB seminars
  • Review the Engagement and Participation strategy policy
  • Conduct a IJB skills audit every two years

The IJB self assessment was presented to IJB Audit Committee on 30 November 2023. The full report can be found here: Shetland IJB Self-Assessment 2022/23 and Skills Audit
