Fridays, 11 am - 12 noon
Activity Room
The Library’s charity knitting season kicks off on Friday 26th September, just in time for Wool Week!
Last year we knitted hats, which were displayed on our special toorie tree at Christmas. Over 200 hats were created and this made over £400 for Shetland Foodbank!
This year we want to decorate our tree - relaunching as the Hansel Tree - with all kinds of knit and crochet hanging decorations. The tree will go up at Christmas and decorations will be available to take for a suggested donations to the Shetland Foodbank.
Come along from 11am - 12 noon on Friday. The group will meet weekly from 26 September, right up until the end of the year.
We have lots of patterns and books to get started and you don’t need to bring any yarn as we have plenty available. (We have needles and hooks, but please bring your own if preferred).
If you can't make it to the library, but would still like to participate please get in touch at shetlandlibrary@shetland.gov.uk
