Shetland Outdoors

With a break in the weather this week the outdoor access team made the most of the opportunity and headed out to fix some infrastructure on the Meal Beach/Hamnavoe core path.  This route has some lovely views out West towards Foula and lots of nice spots to watch the waves rolling in.

This circular route is nearly 4km long and passes through the village of Hamnavoe and Meal beach. It can be accessed from a number of different spots. Details can be found at Outdoor Access and Core Paths – Shetland Islands Council

The team also managed to find Smugglers Cave hidden among the rocks and popped down to explore!
