This project aims to deliver a replacement ferry for the Fair Isle ferry route; introducing a larger vessel with increased access and freight handling capability as well as the introduction of Roll on - Roll off (Ro-Ro) services.
Marine (Scotland) Act 2010 & the Marine Works (Environmental Impact Assessment) (Scotland) Regulations 2017
Notice is hereby given that Shetland Islands Council, at 8 North Ness Business Park, Lerwick, Shetland, ZE1 0LZ, has been granted by the Scottish Ministers marine licences under section 20 of the Marine (Scotland) Act 2010 with conditions attached, to construct, alter and improve harbour works, capital dredging and deposit of dredged material for Fair Isle Harbour Improvement Works at Fair Isle Harbour with a total area of approximately 1,425 m2 (central latitude and longitude co-ordinate: 59° 32.312' N 001° 36.209' W (WGS84)).
Notice is hereby given that Shetland Islands Council has applied to the Scottish Ministers for a marine licence under section 20 of the Marine (Scotland) Act 2010 for the construction of harbour improvements and capital dredging and sea deposit of dredged material at Fair Isle Harbour with a total area of approximately 1,425m2. Any representations should be made in writing not later than 30 September 2023
