About the grant
Shetland Islands Council is committed to improving the economic health and wellbeing of our community by:
- promoting innovation and diversity in the private sector
- supporting local communities in their efforts to generate economic activity
- promoting the principles of inclusive growth, sustainability and community wealth building.
To this end, the Council aims to stimulate local economic activity through the Economic Development Grant Scheme (EDGS), by providing grant funding towards projects which deliver on key outcomes.
The following pages highlight some of the key criteria of the scheme and encourage you to submit an enquiry form with a view to applying for the grant.
