Who can apply
Businesses: Sole traders, partnerships, limited liability partnerships and limited companies can apply for grant funding to start up or grow businesses in Shetland. Businesses must meet the UK Government definition of a small to medium sized enterprise (SME) to qualify.
Voluntary and community organisations can apply to fund development projects which can demonstrate economic benefits to the local community. Such organisations must be Shetland-based with an open constitution or similar set of rules that clearly define the organisation’s aims, objectives and procedures.
Applications should be from a ZE postcode region. However, applications from outwith Shetland may be considered if the project can demonstrate viable inward investment potential.
