In the first instance, applicants should contact Business Gateway Shetland to discuss the project and check eligibility.
A business adviser will be assigned and will provide guidance and assistance to develop the project and ensure that all the required information is submitted, including the business plan and financial forecast.
Prior to submitting an application, applicants will be expected to take part in a Business Gateway start-up workshop/webinar, if reasonably practicable.
Applicants are required to complete an online application form and submit their business plan; 2-year cash flow; proof of commencement of trading; and a quote demonstrating market value for items. It is recommended that you source multiple quotes to obtain a competitive price. (Please note, you only need to supply us with your preferred quote.)
All applications are assessed and verified against the grant criteria by Business Gateway Shetland. All decisions are subject to the availability of funds. Not all eligible applicants will receive funding.
Details of applications and payments made will be recorded and shared with Shetland Islands Council and Highlands and Islands Enterprise on a regular basis.
