What type of projects can be assisted
Projects must impact on one or more of the four priority areas:
- Helping families and services through the cost-of-living crises, including helping to address the drivers of child poverty
- Increasing community capacity to address rural challenges
- Transforming the economy to deliver net zero
- Creating sustainable local services
A summary of projects assisted in the 2025/26 Programme can be found here.
Projects can comprise a completely new activity or may be additional activity undertaken by previous existing projects.
Applications for Shetland CLLD funding for energy efficiency/decarbonisation projects require a professional independent assessment to have been undertaken before they can be considered. This assessment is available free of charge from Business Energy Scotland. Please contact the CLLD coordinator to discuss.
