What is Sheltered Housing?
Sheltered Housing is best described as small, easy to manage properties grouped together and which offer the Housing Support service from a Community Housing Support Worker.
How do I apply?
To apply for Sheltered Housing, you need to complete a full Housing Application form. You will then be contacted by Housing Support staff who will assess your housing support requirements.
When an application is received from outwith Shetland, an assessment would be carried out and any services currently providing you with support may be contacted to provide further information.
When a property becomes available for allocation, applicants will be considered in line with the Housing Allocation Policy.
