Join us for Bookbug sessions- a fun-filled time for babies and toddlers with songs, rhymes, and a story!
Session Times
Every Tuesday:
- Morning: 10.30 am - 11.00 am
- Afternoon: 2.00 pm - 2.30 pm
Bedtime Bookbug Returns!
- Snuggle up for stories and songs every Thursday, October to March, from 6.30 pm - 7.00 pm. Peerie ones are welcome to come along in their PJs, and can bring a favourite cuddly toy or blanket for extra cosiness.

Bookbug Gifting Programme
The Bookbug programme encourages a lifelong love of books and reading. In partnership with NHS Shetland, Shetland Library provides four stages of Bookbug packs for children under five:
- Pack 1: Available at 7-week checks (collect from your Health Visitor or the Library)
- Pack 2: Available at 18-month checks (collect from your Health Visitor or the Library)
- Pack 3: Gifted to all 3-year-olds in early years settings from every November onwards
- Pack 4: Gifted to Primary 1 pupils every November
