Housing Service information on its way to tenants

Housing survey 2021 1

Council tenants are being sent some important Housing information - the annual consultation on potential rent increases, details of the work on fire detection system upgrades, and a Winter Newsletter

Every year, the Service asks its tenants for their views on rent levels.  For 2022/23, there are three proposals, ranging between an increase of 2.5% and 4.2%.  The survey is open till 4th January 2022. The team are keen to hear tenants’ views, so please take some time to respond if possible.

To comply with new standards introduced by the Scottish Government, the Council is also carrying out fire detection upgrades to all its social housing properties.  Tenants will be contacted at least a week before any work begins, and the contractors are aware of their responsibilities around physical distancing, hygiene and other protocols which need to be followed.

The Service’s annual ‘Report Card’ for 2020/21 is also available online on the Housing Service webpage
