The Chair of the Council’s Education and Families Committee has responded to news that next year’s Higher and Advanced Higher exams have been cancelled, as announced by John Swinney yesterday.

Roads Notice: B9075 Weisdale to Sandwater – now open again
Following the closure of the B9075 – Weisdale to Sandwater road on Monday, contractors have now repaired the parapet on the north side of the bridge over the Pettawater burn.

Card payment trial on Bressay ferry
From today, a debit or credit card payment option will be offered to customers on the Bressay ferry, MV Leirna, for a trial period.

A truck belonging to a local contractor working on the Viking Energy Wind Farm project has come off the road this afternoon, on the B9075 Sandwater Road, east of the Upper Kergord Junction.
