Primary 1 Enrolment
If your child was born between 1 March 2021 and 28 February 2022, they are eligible to start primary 1 in August 2026.
This year, primary 1 enrolment forms should be completed online rather than using a paper form. Parents and carers no longer need to collect an enrolment form from the school office and should instead complete the online form below:
Primary 1 Enrolment Form 2026-2027
Primary 1 enrolment week will be held from Monday 16 February to Friday 20 February 2026.
Late enrolments will be considered in line with the Shetland Islands Council, Children’s Services Admissions Policy.
If you would like your child to attend a primary school outwith your catchment area, you must complete both a primary 1 enrolment form and a placing request form for your requested school.
