In 2018, Scotland’s transport emissions (including international aviation and shipping) were 14.8 MtCO2e accounting for 35.6% of all emissions—the largest contributor of greenhouse gases in Scotland. Of that road transport accounted for 10 MtCO2e (68% of all transport emissions).

- Make the most of video conferencing instead of travelling to meetings
- Opt for public transport
- Practice eco-driving to drive more economically and save fuel
- Reduce car use, especially for short journeys
