Roads Notice – A970 Lochside Road closure
The A970 Lochside Road in Lerwick will be closed for essential road repairs and resurfacing from Monday 1st August, for up to ten working days.

Disruption to Bressay ferry service
Staff sickness is continuing to have an impact on Shetland’s ferry services, with the Bressay Ferry due to operate at limited capacity over the next few days.

The Yell Sound ferry service will continue to be disrupted till the weekend.

Due to crew sickness, and a lack of available cover, ferry crossings on Yell Sound will end early this evening.

Rules for short-term lets coming in the Autumn
Legislation introduced by the Scottish Government regarding the licensing of short-term lets is due to come into force on 1st October this year.

Operational note – East Isle, Burra – Temporary road closure
The East Isle road, Burra, between North House and the Baptist Church, is to be temporarily closed from Monday 18th to Friday 29th July to allow for essential repairs to the road surface.
