Important Update: New Building Warrant Fees Effective from 1st April 2025
Please be advised that the upcoming changes to building warrant fees will take effect from 1st April 2025. These changes have been approved by the Minister for Housing, Paul McLennan, as part of a three-year model aimed at enhancing our building standards verification service.
The new fee rates are designed to generate an additional £8 million annually across Scotland, representing an approximate 18% increase in building warrant fee income over the first two years of the model. The increased fees will be used to strengthen and grow local authority building standards verification services.
